ASL COMPETITIONS & EVENTS
The Antwerp Students League (ASL) is the biggest competition for students in Antwerp. The ASL competitions are played during the entire academic year or during one semester. The different ASL events are tournaments that will be played in one day.
Note – The UAntwerp Plus Pass App that provided access to sports activities will be replaced by the MOVE App.
ASL COMPETITIONS
BADMINTON
ASL BADMINTON
The ASL Badminton competition is a mixed competition and will be played during the first semester, as well as during the second semester. The winning teams will play at the ASL Indoor Finals for the overall title.
REGISTRATIONS
Registrations are open from September 1, 2021 until October 17, 2021
- Go to the Sportaniser website
- Fill in all the required fields and confirm your registration (check your incoming mails)
- Add the second player and a reserve player (Go to your account and click on ‘Team’)
- Read carefully all the rules and be totally prepared!
GAMES
After the subscriptions are closed, you will receive an e-mail with the information about your opponents during the group stage. You will arrange a date, time and location for your game with your opponents yourself. This way, you are able to create your own calendar. The games of the group stage have to be played before a certain deadline. The same procedure applies for the knock-out phase.

BASKETBALL
ASL BASKETBALL
The ASL Basketball Men’s & Women’s competition will take off at the start of the second semester. Students clubs as well as groups of friends will play for the big title.
REGISTRATIONS
Registrations are open from November 1, 2021 until January 14, 2022.

- Go to the “Shop” on the right side of the page. Click on “View all subscriptions” and select “Deposit ASL Basketball” by clicking on “Details and purchase”. Accept the general terms and click on “Add to cart”.
- Go to your cart and pay € 50 as a deposit. This will be paid back to the bank account of your choice at the end of the season.
GAMES
Games will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. The calendar will be composed in dialogue with the participating teams.

The ASL 3×3 Basketball competition is a mixed competition and will take off at the start of the first semester. Students clubs as well as groups of friends will play for the big title. Create your own team of four and subscribe.

CHESS
ASL CHESS
The ASL Chess is a mixed, single player competition and is played during both the first and second semester. To determine the overall winner, the winner from the first semester plays against the winner from the second semester. This competition is organized in cooperation with the chess club for students: De Rode Loper.

Matches are played during the weekly chess nights of the chess clubs for students De Rode Loper (chess material will be available), online through lichess.org or an a location of preference.

The ASL Futsal Men’s competition will start during the first semester, where the group stages will be played. During the second semester, the knock-out phase of the tournament will take place.

ASL KUBB
The competition ASL KUBB is a mixed team competition and will be played during the second semester. Students clubs as well as groups of friends are allowed to participate in this competition. Find a team of two to six players and subscribe!

ASL SOCCER
The 21th edition of the Antwerp Students League (ASL) Soccer competition will take off on Monday September 27, 2021. The ASL Soccer is the biggest soccer competition for students in Belgium! It is a mixed competition and only accessible for students clubs. There has to be (at least) 2 women per team on the field.

ORIENTEERING
ASL ORIENTEERING
The Antwerp Students League Orienteering (in collaboration with Antwerp Orieenteers) is both an individual and team competition. Both student clubs and friend teams can participate. The course is 4 km long/short. Women and men run the same course. There will be a ranking for individuals and teams separately.
